Iran Budget Travel Itinerary

You will most likely arrive in Iran in the midnight or early morning of the following day according to the most international flight schedules heading to Iran. Most probably, your arrival should be in the next morning. This day will not be counted as one of your tour’s day, but we need to keep your room booked to rest upon arrival in Iran.

Arrival in IKIA, Tehran Iran.
You will be greeted at the airport by a driver and transfer to your designated hotel. Have some hour rest and get ready to start exploring Iran from Tehran.
Walk along with the history in National Museum of Iran. Feel the society in person by walking in Tehran Grand Bazaar and visit the Golestan Palace Complex which is the house of amazing tile works. Can you imagine how big the biggest pink diamond in the world is? Find it out in Iran National Jewelry Museum.

Attractions: National Museum of Iran, The Golestan Palace Complex (Main Entry & Mirror Palace OnLy) , Treasury of National Jewels, Tehran Bazaar

In north Tehran with a different feeling of more modern Iran including visiting the Saadabad Palace Complex, where is home to different palaces and museums from Shah’s time (The King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi). Darband valley is just next to it, a place to eat and feel society in person. After enjoying the North Tehran, you need to go South to catch your night train to Mashhad.  An overnight train journey is a good place for getting in touch with locals and exchange culture with them.

You will be arriving in Mashhad around 9 am, we arrange your early check-in for your hotel in Mashhad.
Have a little rest and get ready for your city tour in Mashhad. Imam Reza Holy Shrine is the main tourist attraction there as lots of local and foreign tourists visiting the shrine every day. Don’t miss the museum of the Shrine. The bazaar is also just at the entrance where you will see the best of saffron in Iran. Can’t imagine with the volume of Saffron in the market, do you use them in your cooking?
Later in the afternoon visit the Tomb of Nader Shah Afshar the Iranian King in 18 centuries.

Tomb of Ferdowsi, the Persian epic poet who left all the Persian speakers the great “Shahnameh”, is in Tous just near Mashhad. You will have a private guide on this day to take you to Tomb of Ferdowsi, Torghabeh, a town also near Mashhad known for its leather product and to let you experience a really big lunch in one of the best places in Shandiz. If you are a fan of lamb Kebab or steaks, they are of the best one. Hey, rice portions are huge; you can ask for less.
After your excursion, return to Mashhad and take your overnight train to Yazd.

On this day you will have a private guide and driver accompanying you in your visits. 

Attractions: Tomb of Ferdowsi, Torghabeh, Shandiz

Arrive to Yazd and enjoy your stay there. Do you know the secrets of living in the desert, the way people of Yazd have used them to preserve themselves? By visiting different sites in Yazd, the secrets will be revealed. It is all about water; how to use, save, and keep it fresh in the desert, we will go to visit the Water Museum, Water Reservoir, and the Wind Towers.
Yazd is not only a religious city for Muslims but also it is the most important Iranian city nowadays for the Zoroaster’s. As the center of Zoroaster’s, we will pay a visit to Fire Temple and Towers of Silence.

Zurkhaneh, the traditional Iranian’s gym is our last program to do that is located just next to Amir Chakhmagh Square.

Jame Mosque of Yazd is one old ad unique mosque with tallest minarets of its kind and the beautiful glaze artwork. You will visit the mosque in the morning before departing on a public bus to Shiraz.
It is about 7 hours bus drive to Shiraz, the city of floras and poets. Arrive in Shiraz in the early evening and have your evening out visiting the mausoleum of the most famous Iranian poet, Hafez.

You will experience a great day in the World Heritage Attraction Persepolis standing 2500 years in the world’s history. You will have the chance to visit the smallest details, reliefs, and the greatest of sculptures in your visit to the Persepolis and the Necropolis (Naqsh-e Rostam). After your visits there you will have lunch in a relax cool restaurant with more than half a century experience “Laneh Tavoos restaurant”.

A Persian food in Haft Khan restaurant is highly recommended for your last night in Shiraz.

Time to explore Shiraz and get to feel a great sample of Persian Paradise gardens like ERAM GARDEN. Join the time machine to go back to the 18th century when Karim Khan Zand ruled over Iran from Shiraz: Arg-e Karim Khan (citadel of Karim Khan), Vakil Bazaar, and Saraye Moshir are to visit.
Later in the afternoon, you will visit the universal known Persian Pink Mosque; Nasir al-Mulk (Pink) Mosque

The evening is blessing at Shah Cheragh Shrine

Take a morning public bus to Isfahan, city of the turquoise dome after having breakfast in Shiraz. Your bus departures to Isfahan around 9 am and it takes about 7 hours including breaking stops on route.
Arrive early afternoon in Isfahan, check-in your hotel, take shower and Do NOT miss the evening crowd in Naghshe Jahan Square.
In Isfahan, the evening is very busy along the river where the old bridges of Khaju and Sio Se pol are located.

Isfahan or so-called by Isfahan’s local “Esfahan” and its unique beauty is to visit today.
Isfahan’s beauty is being compared as “Half of the World” due to the magnificent Naghshe Jahan Square; the second largest square in the world.
Visiting the best of architectural buildings such as Imam Mosque (also called, Shah Mosque & Jameh Abbasi Mosque), Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Aali Qapu Palace, and Qeysariye Bazaar familiarize you with Safavid’s mentality. The vast square is to walk and enjoy the best.
Chehel Sotoon Museum Palace as one of the most outstanding Persian Garden palaces is to visit and get to know with the art of miniature.

On this day you will have a guide accompanying you in your visits. 

Attractions; Naghshe Jahan Square, Shah Mosque, Sheikh Lotfolla Mosque, Qeysariye Bazaar, Chehel Sotoon Musuem Palace

Jameh Mosque of Isfahan as the mosque of Islamic Iranian architecture and calligraphy to be visited in the morning after checking out your hotel. Before leaving Isfahan, you will visit Vank Armenian Cathedral in Jolfa district, you will love the atmosphere and painting inside the church.Enjoy your last meal in Isfahan, maybe “Beryani” the typical Isfahani food.
You will take a bus to Kashan as your nest destination (about 3 hours) and have your evening there.

Attraction: Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, Vank Church

Kashan is more known for its historical mansions than its carpet and its material such as silk. Tabatabaei Natanzi Historical House is one very good example of such mansions to show you an Iranian lifestyle and richness by 19 centuries, visit the house in detail one behalf of all historical houses in Kashan. Every house has lots of similarities but unique styles and highlights as Broujerdiha Historical House are unique for its ceiling painting and roof. Sultan Amir Ahmad Bathhouse with good use of the sun in the ceiling to heat and get light into the bath provides. The best view over the beauty of the Broujerdiha historical house on the horizon of Zagros mountain at the back.
Hey, one of these houses is nowadays a restaurant, so put the feeling of eating in these houses into practice.
After lunch and getting refresh you will visit Agha Bozorg Mosque as one of the still practicing Madrassa for religious students, a good chance to see how the students think, they are open to talk. Bazaar of Kashan and Fin Garden, World Heritage, are your last attractions to visit.

You are almost done with your tour in Iran. one more time to take a public drive from Kashan back to Tehran for about 3 hours and have the rest of the day in Tehran on your own. As suggestions, you might be interested in visiting Ceramic and Glass Museum, Reza Abbasi Museum, or Carpet museum of Iran.
Later in the evening is to transfer to IKIA and take your returning flight home.
