Get To Know
Golestan Palace is one of the oldest historical monuments in Tehran and a UNESCO heritage site consists of royal buildings, gardens, and beautiful collections of Iranian crafts and European presents between the 18th – 19th centuries.
Golestan Palace is considered as the first top thing to do in Tehran and the most visited tourist attraction in the city. It is located in the heart of Tehran and was selected as the royal residence and seat of power.
This Place is a fine example of Iranian art and architecture with a strong influence from western countries. Originally, the Palace served as a throne to major dynasties, and throughout the contemporary history of Iran, is used as a symbolic significant place where King coronations and critical law enactments took place. During the years, each dynasty expands and embellished this place in their own ways so it now consists of twelve elegant royal buildings that are used as a museum.
