Milad Tower

Milad Tower or Borj-e Milad, also known as Tehran Tower, is a 435 meters-high (1,427 ft) multi-purpose Iranian concrete tower built in 2007 which in terms of height records is the sixth tallest tower in the world after the Canton Tower in Guangzhou, CN Tower in Toronto, Ostankino Tower in Moscow, the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, and the Tokyo Sky tree.

The project includes the Milad telecommunication tower offering restaurants at the top with panoramic views of Tehran, a five-star hotel, a convention center, a world trade center, and an IT park. The head consists of a large pod with 12 floors, the roof of which is at 315 m (1,033 ft). Below this is a staircase and elevators to reach the area. Milad Tower is a part of The Tehran International Trade and Convention Center and also the current 17th tallest freestanding structure in the world.

Sa'adabad Palace Complex

The Saadabad Palace is a palace in north Tehran built by the Pahlavi dynasty. The complex was first inhabited by Qajar monarchs and royal family in the 19th century. After an expansion of the compounds, Reza Shah lived there in the 1920s. And his son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi moved there in the 1970s. Currently, parts of the Saadabad Palace compound are museums, in which visitors can roam through and look at the rich history of Iran. However, the current presidential palace is located adjacent to the Sa'dabad compound.

Niavaran Palace Complex

Niavaran Palace Complex, traces its origin to a garden in Niavaran, is a historical complex situated in the northern part of Tehran, Iran. This summer residence consists of several buildings and a museum. The Sahebqraniyeh Palace, from the time of Naser al-Din Shah of Qajar dynasty, is also inside this complex. The main Niavaran Palace, completed in 1968, was the primary residence of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the Imperial family until the Iranian Revolution. The main palace was designed by the Iranian architect Mohsen Foroughi.

Darband Valley

Darband a former village close to Tajrish in north Tehran has a suitable climate all around the year and see heavy snowfalls every year. The initial start of the trail at Darband is about 250 meters long and is dotted with a number of small cafes and restaurants. These are quite popular and busy in the evenings, as locals and tourists alike spending time there. As tourist it might be interesting to see a different face of Tehran there. Darband is also the beginning of a very popular hiking trail into the Alborz Mountain Tochal, which towers over Tehran. A chair lift is also available for those not interested in hiking.

Jamshidiyeh Park

Jamshidieh Park or Jamshidieh Stone Garden is a park located in the neighborhood of Niavaran in north Tehran. The Qajar prince and engineer Jamshid Dowlah Gajar had established the premises of the garden. Later on in Pahlavi dynasty, the garden was dedicated to Farah Diba Pahlavi, the last Queen of Iran. Since 1977 the stone garden is open to public.
