Azadi Tower

The Azadi Tower (Freedom Tower) located in the west Tehran entrance was known as the Shahyad Aryamehr (King Memorial Tower) in the past was built in 1971 in commemoration of the 2,500th anniversary of the Persian Empire, this "Gateway into Iran" was named the Shahyad Tower (Kings' Memorial), but was dubbed Azadi (Freedom) after the Iranian Revolution of 1979. It is 50 meters tall and completely clad in cut marble.



Iran National Museum 

The National Museum of Iran is the combination of two museums, the Archaeological Museum of Iran (the old Muze-ye Iran-e Bastan) which is a break, Sasanian revival building designed by André Godard, inaugurated in 1937, and the modernistic white travertine National Arts Museum (Muze-i Honar-i Millī), inaugurated in 1972. The almost 70 years old National museum of Iran contains 300.000 museum objects in an area more than 20,000 square meters. It is not only the largest museum of history an archaeology in Iran, but ranks as one of the few most prestigious museums of the world regarding the grand volume, diversity and quality of its huge monuments.



Treasury of National Jewels

The incomparable "Treasury of the National Jewels", which is open to public, is a collection of precious stone-encrusted throne, jewels from all over the world, a gem-studded 1869 globe, the world’s largest pink diamond and other mind-boggling pieces make up the unusual collection at this historic museum, collected over centuries.
Every piece of this collection is a reflection of the tumultuous history of this great nation, and artistry of the residents of this land. Each piece recalls memories of bitter-sweet victories and defeats, of the pride and arrogance of rulers who were powerful or weak. 



Gateway of National Garden

Bagh-e Melli (The National Garden) located in central Tehran is a government compound where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, The National Museum of Iran, Malek National Museum, and the National Museum of Post are located. In the early 1906, it was Jafar-khan Kashani who erected the gates at the entrance to the former vicinity known as Maidan-e-Mashk during the Qajar dynasty. 



Golestan Palace Complex

Golestan Palace, the oldest of the historic monuments in Tehran, is the former royal Qajar complex in Iran. The Golestan Palace or the Rose Garden Palace belongs to a group of royal buildings that were once enclosed within the mud-thatched walls of Tehran’s Historic citadel.
